The Philippine Association of Laboratory Animal Science (PALAS) is a professional organization dedicated to the ethical care, use, and advancement of laboratory animals in scientific research and education. Committed to promoting high standards in laboratory animal science, PALAS supports training, research, and collaboration among professionals to enhance animal welfare and scientific integrity in the Philippines.
VISION
To be the leading multi-professional organization in the establishment, implementation, and monitoring of programs and activities geared towards the advancement of laboratory animal science in the Philippines.
MISSION
The PALAS shall lead in the professional development and education among the different stakeholders involved in animal teaching, research, and testing.
To promote the proper care and use of experimental animals for scientific research and testing through training programs.
To serve as an avenue for scientific exchange of information and expertise in the field of laboratory animal science.

PALAS is a proud member of the International Council for Laboratory Animal Science (ICLAS) and the Asian Federation of Laboratory Animal Science Associations (AFLAS). PALAS is also a Cooperating Agency of the Philippine Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA).
